"here's a live look at the oregon coast from the port of brookings harbor. tonight: mainly clear skies and chilly conditions tonight across the region. we'll see readings below freezing east of the cascades with middle 40s for low temperatures in our westside valleys. along the coast, milder with lows in the lower 50s. tomorrow: plenty of sunshine for your thursday with warmer and seasonable temperatures expected across our area. highs will climb into the lower 80s in the rogue valley with middle 70s in the basin. breezy offshore winds along the coast should get the brookings area into the 70s! extended: even warmer weather on friday with winds picking up a bit. we'll see high clouds drifting in throughout the day. much of the area should see afternoon highs climb into the 80s. the first day of fall is officially on saturday, and a cold front will work through this weekend to cool temperatures off again. we'll keep the chance for a few showers saturday along the coast. inland areas will stay dry south of the umpqua divide. as we look ahead to next week, a very warm weather pattern looks to set up for southern oregon and northern california. we'll see widespread 80s and 90s by the middle of the week for high temperatures along with sunny skies. this setup could lock in place for a while with above average temperatures right into the start of october. we'll kee you posted of course. fire danger remains high and if any fires do spark, they could spread quickly. hopefully you can enjoy some of the upcoming weather. thanks.
