here's a look at some of the weather around the region. a freeze warning is in effect for the entire basin from 3 am to 9 am friday. widespread frost and freeze conditions are expected with temperatures likely falling below freezing and even down into the 20s. be sure to cover any sensitive plants and vegetation. west of the cascades we'll see mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with lows in the 40s. today: pretty quiet weather across the region for your friday. up a little bit in the afternoon in the basin. highs friday will climb to near 70 in the basin with middle to upper 70s west of the cascades. skies should be generally mostly sunny with some clouds at times along the oregon coast. extended: another cold night expected into saturday with the basin under a freeze watch. another storm system this weekend will keep temperatures on the cooler-side and below average. winds will pick up saturday ahead of this system. sunday is looking cool with highs in the 60s to lower 70s for much of the area. we'll see added clouds, with showers chances mainly towards the cascades and the coast. some of the further as we head into next week, but overall, another cool down by the middle of next week will keep temperatures below average for this time of the year. fire danger remains high and if any fires do spark, they could spread quickly. while there are some schools in washington that are back in
