some areas of dense smoke and very bad air quality are possible for parts of the area. fog will develop along the coast overnight. lows tonight will fall into the 50s and 60s. tomorrow: hotter temperatures and smoky skies are in the forecast for your tuesday. there will be areas of reduced visilbity and bad air quality. we should continue to see dry conditions across our region. extended: wildfires burning in the region will cause air quality levels to fluctuate and could be at unhealthy to hazardous levels. our weather looks to get more active on wednesday. temperatures will still be very warm with highs in the 90s for most inland locations. we'll see 60s for the coast with the marine layer sticking around much of the day. isolated to spotty thunderstorms will start to fire up, especially, as we get into wednesday afternoon and evening. the cascades, basin and northern california have higher chances for storms, but a few storms could impact west of the cascades as well. because of the lightning threat with these storms, the basin and eastern siskiyou county are under a fire weather watch for wednesday afternoon and evening. lightning could spark new wildfires. we'll be watching any storms that develop closely. more storms are possible thursday. friday looks dry with temperatures backing off a bit through late week. next weekend looks quiet with dry weather and warming temperatures.
