weather center... tonight: thunderstorm activity should die down before 10 pm. a red flag warning remains in effect for jackson, siskiyou, klamath and lake counties until 11 pm tonight. overnight lows will bottom out in the 50s and 60s across the region with hazy skies. as the marine layer moves into the coast, some fog may develop late into coastal curry county. tomorrow: temperatures continue to heat up into the work week with a warming trend for inland locations. a heat advisory has been issued for locations west of the cascades from 11 am monday until 11 pm wednesday. expect afernoon highs, though a smidge more mild due to the smoke and haze, up into the lower 100s. most locations will remain dry tomorrow under smoky skies, but an isolated chances for showers and thunderstorms will move in to northern california and the klamath basin in the afternoon. extended: we'll also keep isolated thunderstorm chances for the klamath basin, cascades, and northern california for monday and tuesday. wednesday looks dry at this time, but hot. hot temperatures will stick around throughout the week ahead. an air quality alert remains in effect across southern oregon until further notice. wildfires burning in the region will cause air quality levels to fluctuate and could be at unhealthy levels. fire danger remains extreme and if any fires do spark, they could spread quickly.
