tonight: skies should be mainly clear overnight tonight and dry. lows will drop into the the 50s and 60s. tomorrow: sunny and hotter tomorrow. climb into the 90s east of the cascades. the chetco effect and windy coastal conditions will warm the brookings area into the 80s. hazy skies will be an issue will continue through early next week. many areas west of the cascades, including the rogue valley, are under a excessive heat watch from thursday afternoon through next tuesday evening. scorching temperatures, likely in the triple digits will increase chances for heat-related illness. it'll be important to stay hydrated and limit time outdoors. later this week, mainly friday and saturday, we'll see a surge of monsoonal moisture into the area. there will be the slight chance for thunderstorms for mainly the basin, cascades and northern california. details still need to be ironed out, but it's something to watch for sure over the next several days. hopefully you can enjoy some of the upcoming weather. thanks.
