Title: Anchor & Special Reports

Ron Brown is the longest-serving TV news anchor in southern Oregon. He anchored NewsWatch 12 This Morning since it launched in the early 1990’s.

Ron joined the station as reporter in March of 1986 and tackled assignments that took him around the world, including to Vietnam and Russia.

After being a part of southern Oregon and northern California's morning routine for decades, Ron retired in June of 2015.

During his career, Ron received numerous awards for excellence in broadcasting, including an Oregon Heritage Award for his popular Oregon Century 1.5 series commemorating the state’s sesquicentennial. That series evolved to become Oregon Trails.

Ron produced hundreds of stories chronicling the people, places, and events that have shaped the history of our part of the Pacific Northwest.

Although Ron is retired, he will occasionally work on special reports for NewsWatch 12. Look back at Ron's Best here.
