MEDFORD -- In one of their first tests of the season, North Medford passed with flying colors, beating conference foe Sheldon, 71-49 at home Friday night.

The game was back and forth for the entire first half with the Black Tornado leading 28-20 at the break. In the third quarter, the Irish made their run. Behind a strong post game from Patrick Herbert, Sheldon cut the lead to just one at one point. However, hot three point shooting from Garrett Parker helped keep the Irish at bay.

In the fourth quarter, Kaison Faust took over and got into an offensive rhythm. He had been stymied for most of the first half, but turned things on starting in the third quarter. He was once again the star for the Black Tornado who are now 12-1 this season.

They turn their attention to South Eugene who they play on the road next Friday.
