MEDFORD -- Some mid-week basketball fun produced some interesting, and in some cases, surprising results.

Girls Basketball: 

Grants Pass 45, Roseburg 24

Lady Cavers continue to clamp down on defense as they climb above .500 in SWC play.

Springfield 45, Eagle Point 20

Eagles can't muster up enough offense to catch up to Millers as they fall in league play.

Crater 78, Ashland 35

Comets dominate Grizzlies from start to finish to climb in the Midwestern League.

Lakeview 49, St. Mary's 30

Crusaders hang early, but fall to sixth-ranked Honkers as Lakeview pulls away down the stretch.

Boys Basketball: 

Roseburg 49, Grants Pass 46

Cavemen lose late and fall to 4-3 in league play with crucial conference loss to Indians.

Springfield 68, Eagle Point 53

Eagles put up valiant effort, but fall to surging Springfield.

Crater 58, Ashland 52

Grizzlies give Comets major scare, but Crater holds on down the stretch to improve to 16-1.

St. Mary's 52, Lakeview 45

Crusaders keep pace in Southern Cascade League and improve to 4-2 in conference.
