MEDFORD—St. Mary’s boys basketball coach Kevin Dixon will not be back for a third year with the program, KDRV Sports confirmed Wednesday.
Athletic Director Jamie Young cited a desire to move in a different direction, his vision perhaps different than Dixon’s. Young said there was no foul play involved and just thought it was time for a change.
Dixon took over for Tam Vu in 2017 and went 26-26 in two seasons.
Dixon has had coaching stops at Phoenix (2001-2006), North Medford (2008-2010) and Southern Oregon University (1999-2001).
He was not available for comment at the time of publication.
