GRANTS PASS, Ore--- On Wednesday, Hidden Valley star quarterback Sam Vidlak announced his commitment to Oregon State University on Twitter.
"Excited to stay in my home state and play football for the Oregon State Beavers. Go Beavs!" wrote Vidlak.
The Hidden Valley standout was originally committed to the University of Montana, the school he called his "dream school."
He said in a later tweet, "Want to say thank you Coach [Bobby] Hauck, Coach [Timm] Rosenbach, and Coach [Justin] Green for a wonderful opportunity at a program with tradition and pride at Montana. Wish this program and these coaches nothing but the best moving forward."
Vidlak will still have his entire season to play with Hidden Valley, as it attempts to avenge a loss in last year's 3A state championship game.
