SOU splits final day of Raider Invitational

The SOU Volleyball Team split the final day of the Raider Invitational, in Ashland.

ASHLAND, Ore---The SOU Volleyball Team split the final day of the Raider Invitational, in Ashland. 

SOU won the first match of the day, against Lewis Clark State. The Raiders came away with a 3-2 (24-26, 28-26, 24-26, 27-25, 15-12) victory. 

Taylor Ristvedt led the way with an impressive 24 kills. Makayla Hoyt and Elliot Cook added nine kills each. 

The #6 Raiders dropped the last match to #20 Jamestown. SOU was able to win the 3rd set. That did not stop Jamestown from a dominating 3-1 (25-21, 25-23, 21-25, 25-18) win. 

Once again, Ristvedt led the way for the Raiders. She put in 18 kills, and hit .515. 

The loss drops the Raiders to 5-1 on the season. 

SOU will have to wait until Friday to avenge the loss, when it takes on Menlo.
