MEDFORD, Ore. — In their previous two games, the Rogues and Seals combined for 67 runs. On Sunday, however, just a fraction of the runners crossed home plate in a 3-0 Seals win.
The Rogues, who had the hot bats Saturday night, couldn't find an answer for San Francisco starter Dylan Porter who, in the seven-inning game, threw five innings of one-hit ball and struck out 10 Rogues batters. He faced one more than the minimum in his five innings on the mound.
On the Rogues side of the pitcher's duel, Hidden Valley High School stand out and future Oregon State Beaver Isaac Hill threw two innings, allowing two runs (neither of which were earned) and struck out four.
The Medford Rogues next game is on Tuesday against the Eugene Challengers at 6:35 pm at Harry & David Field.
