ASHLAND, Ore. — The Southern Oregon women's soccer team is now nationally ranked. For the first time in program history, the Raiders cracked the top 25 in the NAIA national rankings at No. 23.
It follows their first win over an NCAA Division II team since 2006 and Jess Selby's win of the NAIA Defensive Player of the Week for her performance against that D II team, Sonoma State.
Now the team has their eyes set on even loftier goals, just 5 games into the season.
"I'm speaking it into existence," senior defender Jazmin Shaffer said. "This team is making it to nationals."
