MEDFORD, Ore.—Between boys and girls action, Tuesday’s local high school basketball slate consists of 18 games with local teams competing.

Both South Medford programs take the court—the girls team looking to extending its conference winning streak to 91 games in a row.

The Panthers head up to Willamette High to take on the Wolverines at 6:45. Willamette has lost its past three games, while South Medford has alternated wins and losses for the past six games.

The Panthers will be featured on NewsWatch 12’s Game of the Week broadcast on Friday. A win on Tuesday and they’ll be taking on Sheldon with a 92-game SWC winning streak on the line.

The South Medford boys meanwhile stay at home to host Willamette.

It’s a matchup between the two teams at the bottom of the conference standings. The Panthers close out their five-game homestand looking to snap a two-game losing streak.

In class 5, both Crater programs are in search of bounce back performances. The Comets were rudely greeted to open Midwestern League play, both losing by significant margins to Springfield.

At the 4A level, the Skyline Conference officially begins league play on Tuesday.

The 10-2 Henley Hornets open with North Valley, while Mazama takes on Klamath Union and Hidden Valley squares off against Phoenix.
