KLAMATH FALLS, Ore--- In light of new scheduling changes from the Cascade Collegiate Conference, The Oregon Institute of Technology will still be hosting the CCC Cross Country Championships on March 26. The event is tentatively scheduled to take place at The Running Y. 

This week, the Cascade Collegiate Conference announced that no spectators will be allowed at CCC events until further notice. There is an exception the no spectator policy for Cross County and Golf. However, Oregon Tech Athletics will still be live steaming all home events for free. 

Like Southern Oregon University, the CCC changes mean that spring sports will go on for now.

A very big change was made to the soccer schedules within the conference. In order to limit travel exposure to COVID-19, teams will play like opponents on back-to-back days. This keeps the teams from traveling to different locations on two seperate dates. The CCC postseason soccer tournament has been canceled. Instead, the winner of each division in both men's and women's soccer will be awarded automatic qualification to the NAIA postseason. 

With these changes, volleyball currently has eight teams planning to participate. Both men's and women's soccer have 12 teams in the conference participating.
