MEDFORD, Ore--- The Medford Mustangs came away with one win against Roseburg and one loss against Springfield on Friday.
The double-header was a part of the Coach K Memorial Tournament at Harry and David Field.
In the first game, it was a back and forth affair between Medford and Roseburg. Medford would eventually survive, 13-11, after time ran out in the 7th inning. At the tournament, there is a two and half hour time limit on each game.
Evan McLennan was the hero of game for Medford. McLennan went 4-4 at the plate including four RBI.
In the second game, the Mustangs fell victim to the Springfield Timbers, 5-3. The Mustangs had a much harder time hitting. The Mustangs got 35 at-bats but only managed eight hits.
The Mustangs move to 11-2 on the season after Friday's double-header.
The Mustangs take on Grants Pass at Harry and David Field on Saturday. The first pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m.
