MEDFORD, Ore. — A misty Monday was met by a multitude of Mustangs and fans as baseball returned to the Rogue Valley.
Evan McLennan got the Mustangs on the board in the first inning with a two-run base hit in the first inning in the rematch of the 2019 State Championship game.
"We've been practicing for the last two weeks, two and a half weeks, something like that," head coach Nate Mayben said on Sunday. "And these guys are ready to go. So we're excited to get started."
The Mustangs will play a separate Eugene team on Tuesday in a doubleheader at 4 and 6 pm at U.S. Cellular field 9.
