DYERSVILLE, Iowa — If you build it, they will come.
Well the MLB is building it, and baseball is coming to the site of the baseball classic "Field of Dreams" in 2020. The MLB announced Thursday that for one game, on August 13th, the Yankees and the White Sox will play a game in the corn of Dyersville, Iowa.
It will be the first-ever Major League game in Iowa. A temporary 8,000-set ballpark will be built to house the game, according to MLB.com.
The movie, which was released nearly 30 years ago, is based on a novel about Chicago White Sox great "Shoeless" Joe Jackson. The White Sox will play host to the Bronx Bombers for the "Field of Dreams" game.
