GRANTS PASS, Ore.—Our Golf Tip of the Week comes from Grants Pass Golf Club.
The course is membership-based but is open to the public in the afternoon hours.
Although its distance is on the shorter side, the course is protected by trees, rolling hills and small, lightning quick greens.
“When you come to Grants Pass Golf Club, it's kind of the tale of two nines,” head professional Jeff Ott said. “The front nine is flat. There is some trouble left and right. But when you get on the back nine you find rolling hills and a few better views. You get up above things and you're able to look down and take in the beauty of what he have here at Grants Pass."
That very beauty is also the biggest danger, and this week’s “tip” comes from a hole that punishes you the most for missing the fairway.
