GRANTS PASS -- How well you play at Dutcher Creek Golf Course can depend on the time of day you play. The wind picks up the later in the day you play, so the earlier you go out, the less the wind will play a factor.

The best advice for lowering your score if you do play in the afternoon is to play about two club lengths up from what you normally would on a given hole. This will help give you the best chance to shoot it through the strong wind.

The greens are beautiful, but tricky at Dutcher Creek. It sounds simple, but clubhouse pros say to simply aim for the hole and if you have any questions about the lie, aiming for the hole allows you a wider margin for error to either side.
