GRANTS PASS--In this week's Golf Tip, general manager Todd Moore joins NewsWatch 12's Jake Garcia on the 12th hole at Dutcher Creek Golf Course.

The par-4 plays under 300 yards and an elevated tee box shortens it even more. That's the entire appeal according to Moore.

"The big hitters can go with a driver and try for the green," he said. "Don't go long because you got out of bounds; don't go left because you got big-time hazards. I suggest that the average golfer hit it about 180 (yards) and you'll have a 100-yard shot in."

Moore worked through the rest of the hole, offered advice on how the greens play, and finished with a par.

He also added that the course is rolling out a new program this summer which allows children 12 and under to play for free on Sundays.
