Amateur Athlete: From Special Teams to Slopes, Friendship of Clark, Montano Continues to Grow

The skills and coordination it takes to kick a football and the ones it takes to snowboard aren't really similar, but that hasn't two SOU football players from finding jobs at Mt. Ashland.

ASHLAND—On any given Saturday during ski season, Mt. Ashland has up to 25 lift attendants working.

Two of them are best friends, from the turf at Southern Oregon University to the terrain at Mt. Ashland.

Going from punting to powder, and kicking to hitting kickers, the SOU special teams unit of Jaxon Clark and Marcus Montano has been working at the mountain since December.
