CORVALLIS, Ore--- The 8th ranked Oregon Ducks won another installment of the Oregon and Oregon State rivalry on Sunday, defeating the 15th ranked Beavers, 79-59.
It was a game that was decided pretty early on. The Ducks raced to a 21-11 lead by the end of the opening frame.
The Ducks were led by Te-Hina PaoPao. PaoPao finished the game with 22 points while shooting 4-5 from downtown.
Taylor Mikesell also added quality minutes for the Ducks. Mikesell was one of 10 players on the Oregon squad to register at least one point. Mikesell finished 8-12 from the field with 21 points.
Taylor Jones led the Beavers in scoring with 14 points.
Jelena Mitrovic was close behind Jones with 11 points. Mitrovic also added four rebounds.
The win for Oregon moves the Ducks to 5-0 on the season. Through Oregon's first five wins, the Ducks average a 37.8-point margin of victory.
The Beavers have now lost two consecutive games. That drops the Beavers to 3-2 on the season.
Up next, Oregon will take on Washington on December 19. That game will played in Seattle. The time is still to be announced.
Oregon State will also hit the road in its next game, taking on Washington State in Pullman. That game is to be played on December 19, at 12 p.m.
