GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- Siskiyou Tree Experts has been at Riverside Park since nine Thursday morning, trying to get it cut up and removed. The company also had calls for other fallen trees in other parks before that. Although business is slowing down right now, busy is an understatement for the amount of calls Doug Tripp has gotten over the last few days.
"We’ve probably gotten about eight calls that primarily involve emergency response trees that have failed due to the snow or just the heavy soil saturation,” Tripp said.
Tripp added eight doesn't sound like a lot but they're used to maybe six calls a week.
“Just in a couple of days to get that many calls that are that specific to emergency responses that's a lot in this time of year especially so it's quite a bit to respond to at this time."
