Overnight the Pacific Power Company restored power to all Josephine county customers. The company says 30,000 people were without power. Most of Chiloquin's area also has their powered restored.
In a Facebook post, Pacific Power says "the cause is a transmission interruption."
More than 19,000 Pacific Power customers are without power Friday night as widespread outages are reported across Southern Oregon.
This affects 1,071 customers in the Chiloquin area, 8,833 customers in the Cave Junction region, and 9,555 customers in the Grants Pass region.
In a Facebook post, Pacific Power says "the cause is a transmission interruption & the estimated time of restoration is 2 a.m." in Josephine County. A different Facebook post says the outage near Chiloquin is being investigated.
A representative with Pacific Power wasn't immediately available for comment, and NewsWatch 12 has left a message to receive more information.
