MEDFORD, Ore. — The Jackson County Health & Human Services building in Medford is closed to the public due to water damage on the main floor, health officials said on Thursday.
In the early morning hours of Wednesday, a water pipe broke on the public health building's main floor. Officials said that a "significant portion" of the main floor was impacted by water damage from the break. Restoration efforts are now underway.
The Health & Human Services building will be closed to in-person services for the rest of the week, though many services will still be available via phone or telehealth. The County's Crisis Line is still available 24/7 by calling 541-774-8201.
"Please know we will return phone calls as soon as possible if you leave a message," the agency said.
On top of a number of other services, Jackson County HHS' public health office is the primary authority for the area's coronavirus response.
