GRANTS PASS, Ore. -- Today, the Grants Pass Vets Center will hold a welcoming home ceremony for Vietnam veterans.

It has been nearly 49 years since the end of the Vietnam War. Many feel that Vietnam War veterans were not treated well when they returned home. This event is an effort to continue to thank those vets.

The ceremony will be at Riverside Park, 304 SE Park Street, Grants Pass, OR 97527, from 10 am to 2 pm.

There will be plenty of service vendors from around the area for veterans to take advantage of.

The DD214's will be performing live music at the event. There is also going to be a bbq lunch.

NewsWatch 12 This Morning will be giving updates and details on the event, all morning long.
