ASHLAND, Ore.- Officers from the Ashland Police Department dashed down the aisles of Wal-Mart this Saturday with an energetic group of Ashland kids.

APD Officers volunteered their time to take 15 underprivileged children holiday shopping and anticipate spending over $1500. The event is meant to give the kids a happier holiday season and an opportunity to interact with law enforcement officers in a positive setting.

Ashland Police Officers have participated in the Shop with a Cop project since 2010. This year APD received a generous $1000 donation from the Lithia Springs Rotary Club of Ashland. The additional money came directly from the officers.
