UPDATE: Tiller Trail Highway Wildfire

This fire is just north of Jackson County.

TILLER, Ore-- We have new information about the Tiller Trail Highway Wildfire. 

This fire is 7 miles southeast of Tiller along Highway 227. 

Douglas Forest Protective Association says the fire is 45 acres. 46 firefighters are working on the fire today. Their focus is on mopping up hot spots within the interior of the fire. The association says the goal is to extinguish all the hot spots so the fire does not restart later this summer. 

At night crews are using infrared cameras to detect heat and hot spots.
