KLAMATH COUNTY -- Health officials are currently investigating two new positive cases of the coronavirus, now bringing the county total to four.
Klamath County Public Health was notified of the new cases early Saturday morning. One case is travel related, while the other is believed to be community acquired.
Officials are currently working with both cases, and are determining who may have come into close contact with them. Those people who are potentially at risk, will later be contacted and given instructions on the next steps.
“Our highest priority is the health and safety of our community," KCPH director Jennifer Little said in a statement. "We will take all steps necessary to ensure safety while also holding to our core value of integrity. We will not release the name, address or other identifying information about these people. It is a matter of patient confidentiality.”
