MEDFORD, Ore-- According to the Oregon Health Authority, two new Covid-19 deaths were reported in Jackson County on Saturday, bringing the county's total to 135.
OHA says that Oregon’s 2,522nd death was an 87-year-old man from Jackson County who tested positive on May 2 and died on May 7 at Asante Ashland Community Hospital. OHA says that the man did have underlying conditions.
OHA also says that Oregon’s 2,523rd death was a 90-year-old man from Jackson County who tested positive on April 26 and died on May 7 at Asante Ashland Community Hospital. OHA says that the man did have underlying conditions.
So far this week, Jackson County Public Health Officials have reported 4 new deaths link to Covid-19 along with more than 200 cases of the virus.
However, new Covid-19 cases have dropped significantly compared to a few weeks ago. Back on the week of April 18, weekly covid-19 cases surpassed the 300 mark, 324, for the first time in months. But since then, Covid-19 cases have dropped with less than 280 cases last week and less than 250 cases so far this week.
