KLAMATH FALLS, Ore. — Two Mazama High School students were brought to the hospital with injuries on Thursday morning, according to a statement from the Klamath County School District (KCSD).

The incident occurred in the school's automotive shop, where KCSD officials believe a student was pulling a vehicle into the shop bay. The car's front end hit two students who were inside, causing possible injuries to one student's upper leg, and the other student's lower leg.

Both students were transported to Sky Lakes Medical Center for treatment and evaluation of their injuries. Mazama staff notified the parents of all students involved, according to KCSD.

A KCSD safety officer was brought on-site to Mazama, and will be aiding the school and district in investigating the incident to find out what occurred and how.
