Truck crashed on Hugo Road and burst into flames

The driver is at Asante Three Rivers hospital with serious burns.

HUGO, Ore -- A driver is in a hospital with serious injuries according to Rural Metro Fire Department. 

The fire department says the driver went off the road and the truck started on fire. Rural Metro Fire, Grants Pass Department of Public Safety and AMR went to this crash. It happened on Hugo Road in Hugo late Friday night into Saturday morning. 

When the truck went off the road, the fire departments say it sheared off a power pole and that's when the truck started on fire.

The driver has serious burns and was taken to Asante Three Rivers Hospital. Power is expected to be out until the power line is repaired.

The Josephine County Sheriff Office is investigating the crash.
