GRANTS PASS, Ore. — This week, Tractor Supply Company (TSC) began construction of their new location at 1427 NE 7th Street in Grants Pass. The company has announced that they hope to be open for business this summer.

“We’re not just building a store, we’re building a team that understands the needs of the Grants Pass community,” said District Manager Mike Hardesty. “We know this community values living ‘Life Out Here’ just like us—with a focus on caring for their home, land, pets and animals. With the addition of our new location, we’re able to ensure the Grants Pass community is fully equipped with the products they need.”

Tractor Supply Company generally offers products for home improvement, farming and livestock, pet care and yard maintenance.

The Grants Pass location plans to hire 12 to 15 employees with firsthand knowledge and expertise in caring for pets, livestock and land, according to a statement from the company.

The new TSC building is being built by Lakeview Construction, and will be nearly 30,000 square feet. Store plans include a sales floor, external support service area and pet wash station.

There is currently only one TSC in Oregon—in the town of Ontario, on the Idaho border. There is another location in Yreka, California. However, the company is moving into Oregon more and more, with another location in construction in Creswell, and more planned in the next several years.
