OREGON --- Today is State Park Day in Oregon. Some parks are holding events.
Here's a look at some of the events happening in our area:
Collier Memorial State Park will have a BBQ. It starts at 11 am and goes until 1 pm. It will be at the logging museum. There will be wagon rides and free hot dogs.
Wallowa Lake State Park is having an event today as well. It starts at 11 am and goes until 5. There will be an outdoor concert and poetry reading. Plus cart rides, disc golf, and fishing games.
The Oregon Lottery is getting in on the state parks day fun. It is offering a free souvenir. These "go play" pins are available at more than 24 state parks. There are about 3,000 up for grabs across the state. To get one ask a park ranger or park volunteer.
Some of the Southern Oregon Parks that'll have the pins are Joseph H. Stewart Recreation Area, Touvelle State Recreation Area, Valley of the Rogue State Park, and 11 other parks and recreation sites.
