GRANTS PASS, Ore. — A Texas man is in custody on Thursday after he allegedly traveled all the way to southern Oregon in an attempt to meet with a juvenile girl, according to a the Grants Pass Department of Public Safety (GPDPS).
The agency said that 60-year-old Keith Maclin contacted the girl through social media. Maclin arranged to meet up with her "in order to have sexual contact," then drove from Texas to the Grants Pass area.
Detectives from Klamath Falls, Jackson County, and GPDPS tracked Maclin as he traveled through Oregon — ultimately arresting him in Grants Pass.
Maclin was taken to the Josephine County Jail on charges of Online Sexual Corruption of a Child in the First Degree and Luring a Minor.
