Teen dies in one-car rollover on Highway 140 in Lake County

A 19-year-old from Bly died in a single-car rollover Friday morning.

LAKEVIEW, Ore. -- A teenager died in a rollover crash on Highway 140 in Lake County early Friday morning, according to Oregon State Police.

Troopers were called to the crash site around 5:00 a.m. Friday morning. 

The Oregon State Police investigation found that 19-year-old Nicholas Whitebread-Lanaro had been driving his green Chevrolet Suburban east on Hwy 140, north of Drews Reservoir, when he veered off the roadway and crashed.

Officers still aren't sure what caused him go off the road. The car rolled several times before coming to rest. Whitebread-Lanaro died in the crash.
