TALENT, Ore--- David Levi Watters has been arrested on eight counts of Encouraging Child Sexual Abuse in the First Degree.
On April 15, 2020, Jackson County Sheriff's Office detectives received a case from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The case was a report of child pronogrophy being uploaded in the 400 block of West Valley View Road in Talent.
The investigation lasted several weeks. It eventually led to the issurance of a nationwide warrant signed by Jackson County Circut Judge Lisa Grief for the arrest of Watters.
Watters had moved to Dillon, Montana and was arrested on Tuesday, October 6.
Watter is being lodged at Beaverhead County Jail pending a return to Oregon. His bail is set at 80,000 dollars.
The Talent Police Department, Medford Police Department; Albany, Oregon Police Department, Southern Oregon High Tech Crimes Task Force, Department of Homeland Security, Montana Department of Justice, and Beaverhead County Sheriff's Office all assisted in the investigation and arrest.
