ONTARIO, Ore-- Police say that a man who was in the custody of the Oregon Department of Corrections (DOC), has died. The man passed away early this morning on September 27 and had tested postive for Covid-19. A Medical Examiner is still determining the cause of death.
Police say that man was incarcerated at the Snake River Correctional Institution and passed away at a local hospital. They also say that this is the ninth person to die in their correctional facilites, who tested positive for the coronavirus.
The man was also between 65 and 75 years old. No known underlying conditions have been mentioned.
