JACKSON COUNTY, Ore. -- Smokey Bear and Fire Prevention Officers are teaching local kids the importance of fire safety ahead of fire season.
A Fire Prevention Officer shares Smokey Bear's story to the kids, and goes over the five most important safety tips. Afterwards kids get to meet Smokey Bear and take pictures.
Kids will leave with a goody bag and a craft they make with the Fire Prevention Officer.
The next Smokey Bear story times will be at the Prospect Library on May 23, 2018 and Eagle Point Library on May 30, 2018.
