MEDFORD, Ore.- Small Business Saturday is a U.S. holiday held every Saturday after Thanksgiving. It was created to help small and local businesses. But this year looked a little different due to the pandemic. With the statewide two week freeze, retail stores were allowed to have up to 75% capacity inside stores.
Local businesses like La Strada and Papillon Rouge have been in the Rogue Valley for more than 16 years. The two boutiques are sister shops that have built a huge customer base throughout the years. Due to the pandemic, small businesses have been struggling to survive. But with the support from other local businesses, La Strada and Papillon Rouge were able to re-hire back all of their employees. Papillon Rogue is also offering 10% off year round to local business owners to help support small businesses.
