Medford, Oregon — March 28, 2020, Jackson County Public Health has reported six new coronavirus cases - bringing the total in the county to 13.
“Jackson County has entered the phase of rapid community spread of COVID-19,” Dr Jim Shames said. "What we are seeing now reflects how well we accomplished personal distancing a week ago. How well we isolate ourselves now will determine how much illness we have next week.”
Health officials say that of the new cases, three are between the ages of 70-79, one is between 80-89, one is 50-59, and the other is between the ages of 30-39. The Public Health office also says that 50% are male and 50% are female.
No other specific details have been released at the time.
