Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office removes illegal plants in marijuana raid

The Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office seized 2,327 illegal marijuana plants in the Mt. Shasta Vista area of Siskiyou County.

MOUNT SHASTA, Calif. -- On Friday, August 2, 2019 the Siskiyou County Sheriff’s Office seized 2,327 illegal marijuana plants in the Mt. Shasta Vista area of Siskiyou County.

Police say 13 search warrants were served at various sites in the Mt. Shasta Vista or vicinity.

The Mt. Shasta Vista is located southeast of Montague, California and north of Lake Shastina.

In addition to the over two thousand marijuana plants seized, 670.3 pounds of processed marijuana were seized, along with three firearms and equipment used for the illegal drug operations.

From May through Early August, the Siskiyou Interagency Marijuana Investigation Team have seized 30,576 illegal marijuana plants.

During 2019, SIMIT has seized 1,683 pounds of processed marijuana.
