GRANTS PASS, Ore. — Deputies have located the vehicle of a Lane County woman who has been missing since July, the Josephine County Sheriff's Office confirmed on Friday.
45-year-old Fauna Frey was reported missing on July 5, and JCSO put out a bulletin on her disappearance at the end of July. While she was last seen in the Grants Pass area, her home is in Lane County.
On Wednesday afternoon, someone noticed a vehicle that matched the description of Frey's blue Jeep Grand Cherokee. Deputies responded to the area, which the Sheriff's Office said was on Reuben Mountain Road, a few miles past Grave Creek Boat Landing.
"The vehicle was locked and Ms. Frey was not located," the Sheriff's Office said.
Investigators believe that Frey's Jeep was parked there for at least a month, if not longer.
On Thursday, Search & Rescue teams covered the area around where Frey's vehicle was found. Even with the help of cadaver dogs, they did not find a sign of her.
"If anyone has information regarding Ms. Frey or her vehicle, please call the Sheriff’s Office at 541-474-5123," the agency said.
