Sheriff: Josephine County man missing for several months

Family members last had contact with 20-year-old Jared Peterson in early September.

CAVE JUNCTION, Ore. — The Josephine County Sheriff's Office is looking for a local man who hasn't had contact with family for several months.

20-year-old Jared Moran Peterson last had contact with his father on September 6, via text. He was last seen about two weeks earlier at Napa Auto Parts in Cave Junction. The Sheriff's Office said that he is known to live or "hang out" near the 5000-block of Holland Loop Road, also in Cave Junction.

Peterson is described as 5'7" and roughly 130 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He has a distinguishing scar on the back of his head.
