MEDFORD, Ore. —
UPDATE: Some travelers are having to spend the night in the Rogue Valley International-Medford Airport after the Jackson County Airport Authority canceled all departing flights for Tuesday evening.

NewsWatch 12 spoke with a traveler who said that announcement was made around 4:30 p.m.
Some passengers with flights that were canceled on Tuesday won't be able to fly out until Thursday due to full flights.
INITIAL REPORT: All flights to and from the Rogue Valley International-Medford airport have been "delayed, cancelled, or diverted" due to snow on the runway, according to the Jackson County Airport Authority.
"The airport itself is open," the Airport Authority said in a statement. "However, as of now, the runway is closed until the runway is clear."
Passengers are encouraged to contact their air carrier for flight information.
