MEDFORD, Ore. — The Rogue Valley Street Rods stopped by NewsWatch 12 this week with a major contribution to the Coats for Kids drive.

Donating hundreds of coats for kids in need has become an annual activity for the club. Every year, club members and their families begin buying up new coats as soon as they go on sale in the springtime so that they can contribute as many as possible.

Miles with the Street Rods says his wife gets an early start every year.

"She goes out and . . . she starts around January, going to thrift stores and other stores where they're having closeouts — and they get donations throughout the year," Miles said.
