MEDFORD, Ore. — Rogue Credit Union recently presented Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center with a check for $170,000 and some additional gifts to benefit the hospial's pediatric unit.
The donation is the largest that Rogue Credit Union has ever raised for the Asante Foundation, the credit union said in a statement. The check was accompanied by an electric ride-on car full of children's toys.
“Through our Credit Union’s for Kids outreach, Rogue is proud to continue its support of Asante’s Children’s Miracle Network programs, providing the best care for children in our community,” said Rogue Credit Union President & CEO, Gene Pelham. “This would not have been possible without the generosity of our members.”
Unlike most years, the presentation was closed to the public due to COVID-19 precautions.
The funds were raised throughout 2020 from Rogue Credit Union employees and members through a variety of fundraisers. A $10,000 "Miracle Match" was included in the total thanks to Co-Op Financial Services.
"Rogue Credit Union is proud to support the region’s only Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Asante Rogue Regional Medical Center," RCU said.
