TALENT, Ore-- The Talent Police Department is investigating how a registered sex offender got inside the Talent Middle School.

Tonight some families in Talent are asking a lot of questions. A registered sex offender, Curtis Stevenson, was let into the Talent Middle School by a student. A staff member found him in a bathroom stall of the girl's locker room. After staffed looked at surveillance video they learned he was inside the school for more than an hour and a half.

Alan Patton's daughter goes to Talent Middle School. "I was upset. I know there isn't anything I can do about it. I know the school did everything they could" said Patton.  Patton is happy the school did not send out an e-mail about the incident until the suspect was caught. That way Stevenson did know he was being looked for.

What happened inside the locker room really bothers him because his daughter is an athlete. She plays soccer, basketball and cross country. "Both of them are athletes and they are in the locker rooms all the time. They all play sports. They are all athletes" said Patton.  So the fact his daughter spends a lot of time in the locker room is nerve-wracking. What did Stevenson see or didn't see? "They said he stole a cell phone but that's the thing what do you do now? If he did film it and it's out there somewhere" said Patton.

Like most parents in his situation he wants to do something. "There's nothing you can do as a parent. Which is frustrating" said Patton.

Earlier today when I spoke with the Talent Police Chief I asked if we could get the surveillance video. He said we can't have it right now, because it's an on-going police investigation. We are also looking into why that student let Stevenson inside the school. We'll continue to update you as we get details on this story.
