MEDFORD, Ore. -- Today state educators will take action to support funding Oregon schools as part of the #RedforEd movement. There will be a group today in Medford on different overpasses.
The #RedforEd movement advocates for students across the state. The event today follows a 5,000 person rally in Salem this past February, statewide actions in March, and pressure from the group on lawmakers to invest in students.
Events will also be taking place today in Portland and Eugene.
Lawmakers recently released a proposal called the Student Success Act, which would invest $2 billion into Oregon schools.
